Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most in chat. If your answer is not here, message us on Facebook.

Do I need to book ahead?
We recommend at least one day ahead, especially Friday to Sunday evenings and long weekends. Message us on Facebook or call the number for that part of YUSUNSEN, and arrive 15–20 minutes before your appointment.
Are the onsen pools separated by gender?
Yes — both the washing area and the pools. Mineral water is kept at standard Japanese temperature and cleaned throughout the day.
Can I use the onsen while pregnant?
Please consult your doctor before bathing in hot water during pregnancy, as should guests with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or vascular conditions. Tell our staff before your session either way.
I have a medical condition — can I have a massage?
Please tell our staff first. Guests with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, vascular conditions or spinal problems should consult a doctor beforehand.
What should I bring?
Towels, massage garments and bathroom amenities are provided — bring only personal items. Remove contact lenses before entering the pool.
Restaurant hours and last order?
The Japanese restaurant is open daily 11:00–21:00 with last orders at 20:30. Spa and onsen are open 10:00–22:00.
Is there parking?
Yes, both in front of and inside the property, with space for groups.
Are children welcome?
In the restaurant, yes — katsu don, gyoza and karaage are popular with children. The onsen area does not admit under-12s.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Please give at least 24 hours notice. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may shorten your treatment to protect the following booking.
How can I pay?
Cash, PromptPay QR transfer and credit cards.
